Abstract

We proposed a smart actuator using magneto-elastic strain sensor. This actuator was cantilever-shape and composed by the strain sensor, a PZT plate and feedback system. In this smart actuator, a touching force at the free end was kept constant if the end was displaced. The smart actuator was sensitive for the touching force of less than 1 mN.
