Abstract

A new hybrid-type dicyanomethylene-substituted terthienoquinoid compound as a highly soluble n-channel organic semiconductor was synthesized, and its spin-coated thin film was utilized as an active semiconducting channel in field-effect transistors, which showed electron mobilities of up to 0.16 cm2 V-1 s-1.
