Abstract
TIG welding process is simulated by an SPH method, where the phase change of the anode material, the free surface movement of the liquid, and the four dominant flow-driving forces are taken into account. The effect of welding arc is given by the thermal boundary condition at the surface of the anode material. Reasonable computational results are obtained, and it is shown that the SPH method is applicable to this kind of phenomena.
