Abstract
The transverse-rupture strength of an alloy sintered in nitrogen, HIP-treated in argon and resintered in nitrogen at 1723-1823 K was studied. Pores were observed in specimens sintered in nitrogen. During HIP, the pores changed to nickel pools resulting in increase in strength. The nickel pools changed to pores when specimens were resintered. The strength of specimens resintered at a higher temperature showed a strength as high as 3. 2 GPa.
