Structure of four-baryon systems

Abstract

We discuss the structure of 4He, Λ 4H, Λ4He and ΛΛ4H. The calculated impulse approximation transition form factor 4He(e, e′)4He(0 2+) agrees with the available data. It is found that a major part of the energy-weighted E0 sum rule value is exhausted by nonresonant, low-energy continuum states other than the second 0+ state. Precise four-body calculations have been performed for Λ4He and Λ4H taking explicitly into account the NNNΛ and NNNΣ channels and for ΛΛ 4H with NNΛΛ and NNNΞ, channels included. The role of ΛN-ΣN coupling in Λ4He and Λ4H and the role of ΛΛ-ΞN coupling in ΛΛ4H are important.
