Abstract

We present results of inelastic neutron scattering by magnetic excitations on the n-type high-Tc superconductor Nd1.85Ce 0.15CuO4 with Tc=25 K. In the normal state the dynamical susceptibility χ at q0=(12120) is gapless. As temperature is lowered below Tc, the low energy part of the spectrum is gradually depressed, and a true spin gap is observed at T=1.6 K.
