Abstract
A new construction technique for a switched-capacitor general impedance converter (SC-GIC) with unity-gain buffers is presented. Any desired impedance can be obtained with this technique. To construct an SC-GIC simply and generally, four kinds of fundamental construction 'units' and two types of 'feedback circuits' are introduced. By applying those units, an arbitrary transfer function can be synthesized. Some algorithms for obtaining useful impedance are proposed. Several SC-GIC impedances were experimentally constructed, theoretically analyzed, and used to make several kinds of filters and oscillators, which are also theoretically analyzed.
