Abstract

The synthesis, morphology and magnetic properties of (NiCo)O/NiCo, antiferromagnetic-ferromagnetic nanoparticles were presented. The nanoparticles were synthesized by co-reduction from Co and Ni metal salts in ethylene glycol. Scanning electron microscopy analyses showed that the particle size varied between 500 and 40 nm. The 'as-synthesized' and core-shell structured Ni25Co75 particles showed hysteresis loop shifts of 77 and 151 Oe, respectively at 77K.
