Abstract
New systematics of U-based metallic compounds is proposed in terms of the radius of the U ion, or equivalently, the relative interatomic distance between U and ligand atoms, evaluated with reference to the corresponding isomorphous rare-earth compounds, and the widely varying physical properties of these compounds are discussed in view of this systematics.
