Abstract

Hyperthermia is one of the well-known treatments against cancer. When the tumor volume is large in some degree, temperature difference between a tumor core and near edge occurs. A high-temperature hyperthermia is proposed to keep the high temperature of heaters. Soft-heating method that excites a thermosensitive magnetic heater in the high frequency magnetic field is used. When two or more heaters were used, the temperature distribution was measured for the hybrid heater composed of the thermosensitive magnetic material and the metal ring. And an effective area for hyperthermia was examined.
