Abstract

(Graph Presented) The oxovanadium heptagons sandwiched by β-cyclodextrins showed stepped magnetization curves, which were characteristic of level crossings of spin sublevels. Doubly degenerate ground Kramers' doublets split into two spin states, and the splitting energy gaps depend upon ring distortions.
