Abstract

In this study, we interviewed elementary school teachers about the use of Information Communications Technology (ICT) in the classroom. In this elementary school, a 1-to-1 tablet PC program was in place. Interview contents were analyzed using the TPACK framework. Among the classified forms of knowledge, Technical Knowledge (TK), Technical Pedagogical Knowledge (TPK), Technical Content Knowledge (TCK), and Technical Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) were further classified as 'conventional teaching tools' or '1-to-1' depending on the object of knowledge. As per the result, among the seven knowledge types, the proportion is biased toward TPK, TCK, and TK; in particular, the proportion of TPK is high. In addition, a knowledge of the '1-to-1' was considered TPK, TCK, and TK.
