Abstract

In this study, the unsaturated seepage experimentation and the unsaturated seepage analysis changing the time unit and the element size were performed. By comparing these results, the influence of the time unit and element size upon the result of numerical result was shown. As the result, the following knowledge was acquired on the conditions of this study. 1) The influence of time unit upon the variation of degree of saturation is small. 2) The influence of element size upon the variation of degree of saturation cannot ignore. When the element size became large, the degree of saturation also became large. 3) The different tendency of seepage velocity was shown at the opening part of Dry-rainfall process and Wet-rainfall process by changing element size.
