Abstract

We used a combination of nonlinearly chirped fiber Bragg gratings to demonstrate for the first time second and third order dispersion compensation for 1.6 and 3.5 ps pulses transmitted over a 66 km-long dispersion shifted fiber around the zero-dispersion wavelength.
