Abstract
The structure of chiriquitoxin, a tetrodotoxin analog isolated from the Costa Rican frog Atelopus chiriquiensis, was elucidated on the basis of NMR data. In the structure 11-CH2OH of tetrodotoxin was replaced by a CH(OH)CH(NH2)COOH group.
