Theoretical and observational studies on relativistic jets driven by black holes

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionpeer-review

Abstract

• MHD simulations show jets are electromagnetically driven by rotating BHs (via Blandford-Znajek process) • BZ process is ascribed to the ergosphere • VLBI observations have been much improved - Jet from BH? → Existence of ergosphere - Constraint on spin parameter - Edge-brightening structure.
