Abstract

The photoemission spectrum (PES) of PrFe4 P12 is calculated by using the non-crossing approximation for the impurity Anderson model, in which the intensity of the pf-mixing is estimated by the LMTO band calculation for LaFe4 P12. The large intensity of PES just below the Fermi level can be explained in terms of many f2 multiplets that accompany a hole in the valence band. The temperature dependence of PES is consistent with dominant f3 intermediate states rather than f1 ones.
