Therapeutic effect of lenampicillin (KBT-1585) on respiratory tract infection

    Abstract

    32 patients with respiratory tract infections, four with acute pharyngitis, two with acute tonsillitis, four with acute pharyngitis and acute bronchitis, 12 with acute bronchitis, seven with chronic respiratory tract infection and three with acute pneumonia, were treated with oral administration of 750 to 1000mg a day of lenampicillin (KBT-1585). Clinical response was good in 22 patients, fair in seven and poor in three. No adverse symptom and sign was noted during administration of KBT-1585. Slight elevation of GPT was observed in two cases.
