Herein we prepared a three-dimensional nickel heptacyano-molybdate-based magnet, K 0.6Ni II 1.7[Mo III(CN) 7]·5.5H 2O· 0.5CH 3OH. This compound exhibited magnetic ordering with a Curie temperature of 28 K due to ferromagnetic coupling between magnetic spins on Ni II (S = 1) and Mo III (S = 1/2).
