Abstract
Contrary to hexathiacalix[6]arene (H6L6S) forming [Cu10-(L6S)2]-type spherical decacopper(II) complex, trithiacalix[6]-arene (H6L3S), in which three sulfur bridges of H6L6S are replaced with methyles in an alternate manner, affords nano-sized wheel-shaped octanuclear complex [Cu 8(H2L3S)4] consisting of four [Cu2H2L3S] units.
