Transient Responses Between a V-Antenna and a Collinear Dipole Antenna

For a basic understanding of electromagnetic coupling in the time domain, transient response between a V-antenna and a collinear dipole antenna is measured. A simple formula of the theoretical response in the time domain is derived by using the transmission line approximation. The dependency of the time history of the response on the geometrical configuration of the antennas is discussed.
