Abstract

A pump-probe laser T-jump system that can induce and follow nanosecond events during during spinodal decomposition (SD) was shown. The SD was followed spectroscopically to see events such as H-bond weakening, molecular migration, and changes in intermolecular attraction and in repulsive contacts as domains grew. As such, these data were linked in time to morphological kinetics.
