Abstract
The observation of ultrafast optical switching from an ionic (I) to a neutral (N) state in tetrathiafulvalene-p-chloranil (TTF-CA) in femtosecond reflection spectroscopy was presented. The I phase produces N donor accepter strings within 2 ps during charge transfer and these initial N states at 4 K decayed with a lifetime of 300 ps. An evidence was detected near TNI, for the motion of the macroscopic N-I domain boundary with a period of 85 ps.
