Abstract

We present a novel ultrahigh-speed transmission scheme with high spectral-efficiency (SE) using time-domain orthogonality in coherent optical Nyquist pulses. We demonstrate a 1.92- Tbit/s/ch (160-Gbaud), PDM-64-QAM transmission over 150 km with 10.6-bit/s/Hz SE with this scheme.
