title = "User interface model for microgrid systems monitoring: From user needs to design requirements",
abstract = "This paper involves development efforts that are necessary for the realization of highly versatile interface model for microgrid system monitoring. In this paper, we first discuss the user needs for micro-grid systems monitoring. We then introduce a query framework for system monitoring. Thus, an effort will be made to further articulate the user needs toward user requirements of an adequate user interface system that can facilitate effective communication and interaction between primary users (operation staffs) and micro-grid systems. The user scenarios will be exemplified based on one advanced micro-grid system in Singapore. Such new developments are expected to achieve new levels of connectivity between users and the grid systems for system context monitoring. The outcome will serve as a solid basis for the design relating to larger urban scale microgrid performance monitoring while meeting the objectives of a sustainable microgrid operation regime.",
