Abstract

The chromatographic behavior of bufadienolides including conjugates was examined by the addition of Y-cyclodextrin to the mobile phase in reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography. The capacity factor of sulfate or glucuronide was decreased sharply by the additive. The separation of bufadienolides, unseparable under the usual method, was much improved by the addition of y-cyclodextrin.
