Abstract

Vapor-liquid equilibrium has been determined for two binary mixtures: methyl formate + propylene oxide, ethyl iodide + toluene at three temperatures 323, 343, and 363K. A gas-sampled method for the determination of vapor-liquid equilibrium was used in this work. Direct observation is made of the temperature T, the liquid mole fraction x, and the vapor mole fraction y. The equilibrium pressure p is calculated from the directly observed T, x, and y data.
