Abstract

A tunable distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) laser using a dynamic holographically-written grating mirror was demonstrated. The external cavity laser was tuned from approx. 1260 nm to approx. 1285 nm and maintained a sidemode rejection ratio of greater than 40 dB across the entire range.
