Accuracy Investigation of High-Frequency Core Loss Measurement for Low-Permeability Magnetic Materials

In this study, the effects of high-frequency core loss measurement for low-permeability magnetic material on the accuracy, which leads to high leakage flux during the measurement, is investigated using capacitive cancellation method. Moreover, a new correction method is proposed for obtaining accurate core loss for low-permeability materials. It was shown that the accuracy deteriorates with high leakage flux; however, the core loss was successfully corrected by the proposed method even when high leakage flux existed.
