Erratum: Pre-explosion Spiral Mass Loss of a Binary Star Merger (Astrophysical Journal (2017) 850 (59) DOI: 10.3847/1538-4357/aa95b9)

Due to a software version issue, the fit of the directly observed orbital period change was not properly converged. This affects only the gray line in the published Figure 5. We provide the corrected version of Figure 5 here. Although the agreement between the massloss rates inferred from observed period change (gray line) and the phased light curve (red circles) is now worse, the two methods still qualitatively agree and the conclusions of the published article are not significantly affected.
