抄録

Linear fibre compression and a spectral window completely compensate for the chirping of gainswitched optical pulses from distributed feedback laser diodes. Transformlimited (TL) Gaussian pulses of less than 6 ps pulse width are generated. Nonlinear pulse propagation experiments and simulations support the existence of TL Gaussian pulses.
