title = "Three-dimensional mesh calculations for covariant density functional theory",
abstract = "We develop a new method for relativistic energy density functional (EDF) calculations in the 3-dimensional (3D) coordinate-space representation without assuming any spatial symmetry. To this end, we overcome the two difficulties in solving Dirac equations on 3D lattice, that is, {"}variational collapse{"} and {"}fermion doubling{"}, with the techniques based on the ideas of the Wilson fermion as well as the variational principle for the inverse of Hamiltonian. We apply our method to investigation of the exotic deformations in the 80Zr nucleus.",
